Day 1 Focus: Staying Planted, Faithfulness

Devotional:

Stay Planted

Something I’ve learned in my life, when God calls you to something, He doesn’t “uncall” you from that thing.

Faithfulness and loyalty are two things that are seemingly becoming more and more scarce among ministers and believers in this age we are living in. The Bible talks about being planted and remaining planted.

When times get tough, don’t be moved. When emotions are out of control and you doubt if you’re really in the place you were called, remind yourself of the call and the dreams that brought you there in the first place. When times are dry and it seems as though famine will Drive you out, stay planted and rooted remaining faithful to the call.

Remember that the One who called you is faithful, He brought you there and He will sustain you there, even in times of drought, battles, and brokenness. He won’t abandon you, so don’t you abandon your post.

“[Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8 AMPC

“For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]”

Romans 11:29 AMPC
